I feel as if I have crossed a big mile marker today--I am officially a member of the Double-Decade Club. Yes, today is my 20th birthday and it rocked. I could not have imagined a better way to ring in this best decade (rumor is the 20s are the best. is this true? perhaps every decade is the best?).
I hate surprises, and I am *that* person who guesses what every present is before she actually opens it. So today when I opened my last gift and saw that they were tickets to the musical Wicked I was completely stoked/surprised/shocked! Mom, Cooper, and I went to the afternoon showing and I honestly have no words to describe just how incredible it is. Really, if you have yet to see it, you MUST!! The singing and acting and costumes and set were all I N C R E D I B L E. Really, people, so amazing.
And then we went to Abigail's soccer game (where she scored a goal, whoop!) and then Benihana's for dinner! Then we ended the night just as we do--with games and popcorn. I really couldn't have imagined ringing in this new decade any other way. It was such a good day! Thanks, fam!!
I have learned so much from these past two decades and I really am so excited to learn and grow from this next one. I am so thankful for the people who are in my life and I'm pretty stoked to see what else may be making an appearance in this journey of life.
My confession: I am so blessed to have made it to my second decade of life (and I beat teenage pregnancy, os that's good!) I cannot WAIT to see what God has in store for this next decade!! And thank you to everyone who sent me such a sweet text today, I truly felt so loved today!
